Finding True Joy in Christmas
Matthew 2:1-12
- As we approach Christmas this year, I think what we are all hoping to experience is joy
- The question we must ask ourselves is what will bring us the joy we seek for?
- What are we hoping to get for Christmas?
- God gives us many blessings but they are all for the purpose of pointing back to Him and His goodness
- God wants us to have a deeper joy than worldly things could ever bring
- There is a deeper joy waiting for us in Jesus if we will worship Him
- What do you want to give for Christmas?
- Sometimes we make Christmas all about us and what we want to receive
- We can worship Jesus by giving and as a result, receive joy
- We can give to Jesus in many practical ways
- Sharing the gospel
- Helping the poor
- Forgiving someone
- Jesus gave His life for you
