A PLACE TO BELONG

The Church at the Butte is A Place to Belong. Whether you are a community leader, business owner, retired senior, single adult, or a young family you can find A Place to Belong with us.

Together, we are making a difference in our community through The Shepherd’s Closet, Meals on Wheels, All-Stars for children, WIRED for youth and Legacy for seniors. We also help support church planters throughout the United States, thousands of missionaries in approximately 200 countries.

Several of our members make trips to our mission church in Mexico to support them and strengthen their service. We participate with Franklin Graham’s  Operation Christmas Child. This ministry distributes gift-filled shoe boxes to children throughout the world, demonstrating that people matter to God.

Drop in on a Sunday morning just after nine o’clock for Coffee and Conversation. Then stay for Sunday Morning Worship at ten o’clock. Pick up some brochures and make a couple of new friends. You may discover A Place to Belong sooner than you think.

Sermon 1/22/2023

Sunday Sermon 1/22/2023

God’s Power Toward Believers

Ephesians 1:15-23

  1. The Nature of God’s Power Toward Believers

Were talking about the same power that worked in the life of Jesus

When God raised Him from the dead (Ephesians 1:19-20)

When God exalted Christ to sit at His right hand (Ephesians 1:20)

When God put all things in subjection to Christ (Ephesians 1:21-23)

  1. God’s Power in our Conversion

We were dead in our trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1-3)

We were made alive in Christ (Ephesians 2:4-5)

We were exalted to sit with Christ (Ephesians 2:6)

  1. God’s Power in our Daily Lives

The Holy Spirit gives us the power we need to be who we are called to be and to do what we were called to do.

Who are we called to be?

-People who reflect Jesus to the world

What are we called to do?

-Share the gospel

-Use our spiritual gifts to bless the church

How to be filled with the Holy Spirit

-By letting God remove what doesn’t belong so there will be more room for Him (Ephesians 5:18)
