A Heart Full of Treasure

Psalm 119:9-16

The Question (v. 9)

  • How can a person keep their life free from sin and the damage it causes?
  • The answer: by guarding your life by living according to God’s word.

Ask for God’s Help (v. 10)

  • We ask for God’s help not to wander from His commandments.

Internalize God’s Word (v. 11)

  • We fill our hearts with whatever it is we treasure.

Praise God for His Word (v. 12)

  • We praise Him because we see how great a blessing it is to have His word.

Speak God’s Word (v. 13)

  • The treasure, that is God’s word, is meant to be shared.

Delight in God’s Word (v. 14)

  • Often times, all we need to do with God’s word is delight in it.

Meditate on God’s Word (v. 15)

  • This means we must do more than just read God’s word; we must think about what it truly means.
