1. God – We believe that there is one God, who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. 2. Jesus – We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, was wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind, was buried, arose bodily from the grave, and ascended into Heaven. 3. Holy Spirit – We believe that God the Holy Spirit is active in convincing unbelievers of their need for salvation, baptizes us in Himself when we are saved, and is the Comforter and Guide who lives in and empowers every believer. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a one-time event at salvation, but there is a need for “being filled” with the Spirit on a daily and moment by moment basis. 4. The Bible – We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, made without error and is the sole authority for life and faith. 5. Man – We believe that man is special creation of God, made in His image, but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, mankind fell so that all men are sinners and need salvation. 6. Salvation – We believe that salvation is a gift received by one’s repenting of sin and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This is made possible through the death, shedding of blood, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 7. Assurance– We believe that every person who is truly saved is eternally secure in the Lord Jesus Christ. 8. Baptism– We believe that water baptism by immersion after salvation is an act of obedience to the command of Christ. 9. Church – We believe that the church is a local body of baptized believers with the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head. Every believer should be connected to and serving within a local body. 10. Prayer – We believe each believer has direct access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Prayer is a vital part of the growth of every believer. 11. Heaven and Hell – We believe in a literal Heaven that God has made for those who are in relationship with Him through Jesus. We believe in a literal Hell that God made for the Devil and his angels, but is also the eternal destination for those who die without a personal relationship with Christ. 12. Christ’s Return – We believe that Jesus Christ will literally return to earth.
